Underpinning Defence Mathematics

The Industrial Mathematics Knowledge Transfer Network(KTN) is delighted to announce that it is working with theMinistry of Defence (MoD) to establish a programme ofmathematical research over the next 18 months called Under-pinning Defence Mathematics. KTN staff are working with the Electromagnetic & RemoteSensing Defence Technology Centre (EMRS DTC) to identifyrelevant topic areas for underpinning mathematical research. Anopen competition for short research projects in these topic areaswill be announced later this year. The competition will be open toall academic and industry partners, including those who have hadno previous interactions with the defence community. Submissions will be reviewed by an Expert Panel assembled fromindustry, academia and MoD.
