Farewell, Gayna

This issue of Mathematics Today is the last to be producedunder the steady hand of Gayna Leggott. She retires at theend of June, after nine years at the helm as Editorial Officer.The Editorial Board would like to thank Gayna for her unwa-vering dedication to MTs unforgiving bimonthly deadlines. Aswell as soliciting new articles, maintaining regular features, bal-ancing content, deciding layout and contacting advertisers, shehas found time to improve the presentation and introduce col-oured images, while simultaneously preserving close (and amica-ble!) relations with the typesetters, printers and mailing house. Gayna had previously held various positions in finance, includ-ing working for Top Rank Leisure, SMAC Group and an Italianbank, before moving to the IMA as Membership Officer in 1998and then on to Mathematics Today.
