The magnetic polymorphism of Finemet type alloys as a function of temperature has been widely observed during the last years. The magnetic transitions however have not been well defined yet. This fact is mainly explained by the lack of systematic experiments describing the structure sensitive characteristics of the magnetization parameters. It is noticeable that the low field and high field properties-i.e., initial permeability and characteristic points of the hysteresis loop-have never been widely correlated. A full set of XRD and magnetic experiment on Finemet type samples of composition Fe{sub}73.5Si{sub}13.5B{sub}9Nb{sub}3Cu{sub}1 in both partly and fully crystalline states is presented.
