PrimeGrid: Searching for a New World Record Prime Number

PrimeGrid [1] is a volunteer computing project which has two main aims; firstly to find large prime numbers, and secondly to educate members of the project and the wider public about the mathematics of primes. This means engaging people from all walks of life in computational mathematics is essential to the success of the project.
