摘要

To fined corrosion inhibitors for sour service that not only are highly effective but also more acceptable to the environment than conventional types of inhibitor compounds, a performance screening of derivatives of polysuccinimide (PSI) and lactobionic acid was carried out for carbon steel inhibition under severe sour gas conditions (up to 4 MPa hydrogen sulfide [H{sub}2S]) in brine and brine/hydrocarbon (HC) mixtures at 90 to 130℃ with the rotated cage method. The results are compared with the performance of a well-established conventional sour gas inhibitor.
