AC mitigation and CP systems installed on pipelines in joint-facility corridors can be confusing. With a basic understanding of the systems and personnel safety requirements, one can test and maintain these systems to provide a safe and compliant CP system and reduce the induced AC voltage on the pipeline to safe levels. In addition, safe work procedures and safety training should be reviewed before testing any pipeline system in a joint-facility corridor.
