New Training Center Launches with a Grand Celebration

After several years of planning and .11 months of construction, NACE International members, staff, and guests assembled on January 8 to celebrate the grand opening of the NAGE International Training Center. Following a champagne toast and ribbon cutting, everyone had the opportunity to tour the 15,000-ft~2 (4,572-m~2) facility, which features advanced classroom technology, hands-on equipment, and outdoor training fields with industrial structures that simulate real-world corrosive environments. "The grand opening marks a very special milestone in the history of NAGE International and the NACE Foundation," comments Tony Keane, NACE executive director. "Past and present NAGE members around the world have a right to be proud as we open this training center dedicated to corrosion education. Our members and member companies have made this training center possible by contributing millions of hours and millions of dollars over the last 65 years!"
