IMA Lighthill-Thwaites Prize

The IMA Lighthill-Thwaites prize will be awarded biennially and submissions are accepted from candi-dates of any nationality who have spent no more than five years in further study or full time equivalent work since com-pleting their undergraduate studies. The prize is also open to those who are cur-rently studying for or have recently completed a PhD and to undergraduate-level students. The only proviso is that candidates must be available to present their paper at a special mini-symposium organised at a UK university. Papers submitted for consideration can be on any subject within the scope of the IMA Journal of Applied Mathematics. The work must be an origi-nal piece of research by the candidate and may have been pub-lished or submitted for publication elsewhere. Joint papers are allowed as long as co-authors agree to the submission and provide a statement detailing the contribution of the candidate to the paper.
