Reflections on Council

At the November Council meeting, we heard about the IMA's 50th anniversary celebrations; it has been a very good year for the IMA. All of the special events have been successful, which is gratifying - we owe our thanks to the organisers of each event. More importantly, the events demonstrated that interest in mathematics is wider than simply being the mathematical community.
