Shadow energy MINISTER in the House of Lords, Lady Worthington - former Friends of the Earth climate change campaigner Bryony Worthington - has helped to push through a vote to amend the Energy Bill so that new plant emissions performance standards will be applied to older coal-fired power stations. The Lords voted 237 to 193 in favour of the amendment which, in imposing new plant standards, will simply kill coal-fired generation.
