Canadian based mineral exploration company QGX expects to be able to produce a semi-soft coking coal and two thermal products from its Baruun Naran concession in Mongolia, with testing on six of the 12 major coal seams have proven better quality than previously expected. The company said yesterday that testing shows it can produce a semi-soft coking coal with 7-9 percent ash and two steam coal qualities thermal coal with 12-16 percent and a 20-25 percent ash. It added that all six seams contain coal with coking properties, including a CSN greater than four.
