Multi Harapan Utama closes in on bank finance

Indonesian supplier Multi Harapan Utama (MHU) is understood to be closing in on bank financing to fund an initial 1mt/yr expansion at its East Kalimantan concession. Although it refused to comment on the speculation, the 2mt/yr producer is thought to be in the final stages of talks with international banks for financing, some say, of approximately 150m dollars, which will also allow it to push ahead with exploration at two more areas on its site.
