Sojitz farms in on Meteor Downs

Japanese industrial group, Sojitz Corp., has farmed into a potential half share of the Meteor Downs thermal prospect in Queensland, being developed by newly-quoted Australian group, U&D Mining. A statement said Sojitz, operator of the nearby 2.8mt/yr Minerva thermal prospect, was 'seeking strategic expansion opportunities' and talks with U&D had begun before the company floated earlier this year.
