Newcastle queue dips, but shipper disquiet grows

The Newcastle vessel queue has dipped solidly below 40 for the first time in nine months, but this has done little to douse growing shipper disquiet about operation of the entire Hunter Valley coal supply chain. Smaller shippers, in particular, are complaining ever more loudly as performance across the chain declines, largely reflecting rail problems, which have had serious flow on effects at the port.
