Riversdale's Christmas comes early

The last couple of weeks have transformed the view on the horizon for Australian-listed Riversdale Mining. First it agreed to sell 35 percent of its hard coking coal assets in the Moatize region of Mozambique to Tata Steel for 86million dollars. And then this week it bought from Aquila Resources tenements comprising seven licences and covering 86,620 hectares in Mozambique. The new acreage, which is contiguous with tenements already held in Mozambique held by Riversdale and CVRD, gives Riversdale over 290,000 hectares.
