DBCT wants quota until 2010

Operators of the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal have applied to extend the current tonnage quota system until the close of 2010, and backed the push with an estimated 800 million dollars in demurrage savings. DBCT Pty Ltd (DBCTL), which operates the terminal on behalf of shippers, has applied to the Australian corporate regulator, the ACCC, for approval to extend the system, known as the CMS, beyond the current expected expiry around the end of this year.
