PSALM sets Napocor's Calaca auction date

Philippine generator Napocor's 600MW Calaca power plant will be auctioned on October 12, at the third time of asking. A pre-bid conference was last week attended by 17 interested investor groups. This gave Jose Ibazeta, president of the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (PSALM), which is responsible for auctioning the IPR, confidence that Calaca may finally be privatised this year.
