Xstrata has settled some contract business with Korean gencos at prices and conditions that will further pressure Japanese power utilities ahead of their looming contract round later this year. And the price knife has this week been further twisted by separate Australian thermal deals into Taiwan's Taipower and into some Japanese buyers.
