Germany talks up 25-year coal and lignite phase-out

GERMANY needs to start work on a plan to phase out coal and lignite following United Nations climate change talks in in Paris on 30 November-11 December, federal environment minister Barbara Hendricks said on 24 November. A 20-25 year plan is needed to avoid any sudden negative impact on jobs and the industry, she added.
