WITH the MID-AUTUMN festival taking many Chinese traders away for most of the week, import prices into China remained largely unchanged from last week's level. The import market is expected to stay subdued until after golden week, which falls in the first week of October. Annual autumn maintenance on the Daqin rail line will commence in late September or early October, and will last for around 20 days. No significant shortfall of coal supply is expected, as only around 0.3mt/day of railing capacity will be lost.
