Banpu suffers 46% Q3 profit drop

Asian coal miner Banpu has suffered a slump in Q3 profits on the back of declining prices in Indonesia and Australia, particularly in the export market. The company's net profits for the quarter were THB 2.26bn ($73.6m), down 46% y-o-y and 17% from Q2. Banpu's sales revenue dropped 5% year-on-year to THB 29.22bn ($952.5m), with 94% of company's total sales revenue coming from coal sales.
