BHPB boost coking coal output, as record looms

BHP Billiton has substantially increased coking coal shipments in the June year and appears headed for a record corporate result, based largely on its Carbon Steel Minerals division. The company lifted its share of total hard coking coal shipments to a record 27.79mt in the year, up 9.5 percent on the 25.37mt shipped in the previous year, following a strong performance in Queensland and a recovery at the Illawarra operations in New South Wales.
