Coal India agrees to FSAs with domestic power plants

coal india (CIL) will sign fuel supply agreements (FSAs) with generators which have entered into long term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). The FSAs will guarantee 80% of the load factor of plants which have been commissioned, or are due to be commissioned, before March 31,2015. It is understood that a firm deal has not been signed but that CIL has agreed to the move in principle. But it will not be brought in immediately and could take a number of years to come into force.
