Colombian production 'to reach 120mt in 2014'

COLOMBIA is TARGETING production of steam and met coal at 120mt by 2014, the country's minister of mines and energy, Mauricio Cardenas Santamaria, told a mining conference this week. The 2012 target is 97mt, up from 84.7mt in 2011 and from 74mt in 2010. After 2014, production is expected to stabilise, according to Cardenas.
