JINGTANG PORT, A major coal port in the Bohai-rim region in northern China, is set for a RMB 5.59bn ($900m) expansion which would significantly raise its ability to handle coking coal imports. Port owner Tangshan Port Group plans to build two new unloading berths with capacity of 0.15mt each, designated specifically for receiving coking coal, along with three 0.1mt coal loading berths and other operational facilities.
