Vanadium prices climbed 1.9% in Europe through May, and have been range bound in the USA despite a strong end to the month. The end-May price in Europe of 26.15 dollars/kg takes prices back to levels seen in March and the late climb in US prices brings prices back in line with March too, around the 34.00 dollars/kg level. Some of the US demand for vanadium is coming from the automobile assemblies sector that has recorded year-on-year growth every month consecutively since August 2011.
