Sam Mishael is a consulting Materials Engineer who has spent 30 years with Chevron: 15 in downstream processing facilities and 15 on the upstream side. Sam based his talk on lessons learnt in development of the Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan. This field is very attractive - it is the sixth largest in the world - but challenging in the extreme because the co-produced gas contains 20% hydrogen sulphide.
