MA NSW Branch Presidents Report August 2011

The NSW branch of Materials Australia has exciting events coming up for the rest of 2011: In September we have a joint seminar with the Australian Society for History of Engineering & Technology (ASHET) focusing on the history of timber as a structural material in Australia. The talk will focus on the engineers and innovations of the past and recent developments in the field such as laminated timber beams and plywoods and the treatment of timbers to improve their durability.
