The Member's Benevolent Trust(MBT)was formed on 10 June 2003 by the amalgamation of the funds and liabilities of The Member's Trust(TMT)of the Institute of Materials,the Institution of Mining and Metallurgy Benevolent Fund(IMMBF),and the Institute of Mining Engineers(IMinE)Trust.The assets and liabilities of the various funds were merged on 8 August 2004.
