SAMPE awards students' composites research

The UK and Ireland divisions of the Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE), in collaboration with the Composites Division of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining held their Annual Students Seminar on 26 November 2003 at 1CHT. Ten students representing six universities took part and each gave an interesting talk on their respective research works. The subjects were primarily based on composite materials, but also encompassed aluminium-copper-iron alloy quasi-crystals, foam-filled corrugated board and flexible film displays.
