A new members only area of the web-site was launched at the end of July and currently gives access to:· the latest job vacancies, posted on the site prior to appearing in the printed magazine and on the main MW web page· the first new member service from IOM~3, the Careers Development Service, which is already generating a great deal of interest from members. For members who are actively looking for a job, or even just interested in exploring the possibility of a change in their career, this web-based service provides a forum in which employers can make contact with potential candidates for their job vacancies, as well as a wealth of careers advice and information.· a comprehensive diary of materials, minerals and mining and related events worldwide, which can be viewed according to subject area, and by day week or month of the year.
