摘要

The properties of ceramic roofing tiles mainly depend on their phase composition i.e. kind, amount and distribution of the crystalline and amorphous components and also on the material porosity. The above mentioned factors are responsible for mechanical strength, water absorbability and frost resistance of the material. The research results concerning the roofing tiles originating from two plants are presented in the paper.The following properties were studied:physical properties: water absorbability, porosity, bending strength, frost resistance,microstructure (mercury porosimetry, SEM, EDS), phase composition (XRD).
