Softhyphen;xhyphen;ray photoionization cross sections of molecular oxygen

摘要

The continuous variation of xhyphen;ray photoabsorption cross sections of molecular oxygen has been obtained experimentally between 6 and 22 Aring;. An empirical formula has been deduced for the variation of the absorption coefficient in this range and compared with other semiempirical estimations. Moreover, the experimental results are compared with the theoretical values calculated from Stobbersquo;s formulas taking into account the screening effects on one hand and the central field approximation on the other, and the validity range of these theoretical models has been deduced.
