CARIBOU LOADS FLIGHT SURVEY USING A RAPID OPERATIONAL LOADS MEASUREMENT APPROACH

Many military services have a significant number of aircraft within their fleets that have a planned withdrawal date (PWD) well past their design life or life of type (LOT). When aircraft PWD are to be extended the maintainer, generally, reassesses the fatigue life of critical components of the aircraft, along with the associated structural certification basis, to determine the fatigue management requirements to maintain the integrity of the structure to the revised PWD. This analysis requires knowledge of the aircraft loads and usage.
