Protection of wrapped round bales

Round bales, continuously wrapped, being often stored on the field on their round sides, are particularly susceptible to punching by birds, resulting in air entering the silo. A number of solutions were tested. It is possible to add a protection that birds cannot get through, such as a narrow-mesh net placed on the bales, or a wide-mesh net maintained at a distance. Birds can also be scared away by garlands. The latter solution seems to be quite satisfactory, while involving very limited costs.
