A rapid way of assessing visually the condition of pastures.

摘要

A rapid visual scoring method for determining grassland condition is proposed which takes into account six variables: cover, cleanness, homogeneity, height, density and quality. The method takes about 2 hours for a farm with 20 fields. The height score, which is the main variable, is well correlated with sliding grass-meter measurements.
