With the increased availability of CNC machines,a number of different products have been used for quicklycutting foundry patterns. This paper compares the benefits anddrawbacks of two of the most commonly used materials-0661aluminium and Renshape? 5168-a synthetic tooling boardproduced from specially formulated polyurethane polymers.
