摘要

The accuracy of near infra-red reflectance spectroscopy in predicting dry matter (DM) yield and nutritive value of fresh herbage was assessed in swards established in Belgium in spring 1992 of 3 diploid and 3 tetraploid perennial ryegrass [Lolium perenne] cultivars of different maturity groups, and given 200, 300 or 400 kg N ha-1 year-1, with cutting at 4 dates in 1993-94. Prediction of DM content at harvest, total CP content and DM digestibility was possible with accuracies of 1.8, 1.06 and 1.78%,respectively. An improvement in accuracy of prediction is illustrated by including measurement of sward height in the analysis.
