Bob Burgin, managing director of UK metals trader and distributor, William Rowland Ltd, died suddenly of a heart attack on May 28, 2003. He was 56. nickel products and developing the company's strong links with INCO. He was appointed director of the company in 1986, and managing director in 2001. Throughout his 30 year tenure with the company, Bob maintained a hands on approach to trading and was particularly active in the trading of nickel and nickel alloys, ferro-alloys, cobalt, chromium, nickel-niobium, aluminium deoxidants, and special inoculants. Bob was a Chartered Engineer, a member of the Institute of Metals, Mining and Metallurgy and the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers.
