Timken Adds Investment Casting for Aerospace Aftermarket

The Timken Co. has installed an investment casting operation at its new Mesa, AZ, plant, to supply precision components to the aerospace aftermarket. It occupies 20,000 ft~2, or 25 percent, of the "integrated customer solution center" opened there last October. Production of castings began in December. The new technology center in Arizona is home to Timken's Aerospace Aftermar-kets Solutions group -- which claims now claims to be the sole supplier to the aerospace aftermarket with the full capability to produce its own castings.
