Clean melting for improved productivity and higher quality

To achieve the objectives of cost reduction, improved casting quality, improvement in working conditions and environmental compatibility, it was necessary to resolve the slag build-up and slagging problems inherent in electric melting equipment as well as the pouring and treatment ladles. Addition of a fluxing agent which modified the physical properties of the complex mixture of oxides, in particular their melting point and viscosity compared to the liquid metal, made it possible to meet the above objectives.
