摘要

Factors related to the expressed preference of German consumers for German or locally-produced meat were investigated. The main reason given for preferring German or local meat was freshness, followed by quality, safety, welfare aspects, environmental aspects (transport etc.), better flavour and support for German agriculture. The relation of gender, age, region and income to reasons for preference for German or local meat was also assessed. [See FSTA 2008-09-Sa2236 for Part 1.]
