OVER the years, the coolant pressure of machining centres has progressively risen from initial pressures of 40 - 90 bar, eventually soaring past the 100 bar mark and to remain at around 140 bar. Following this evolution, coolant performances have considerably improved in many areas including machining quality, tool life or chip removal.
