IN a world where production flexibility is increasingly key to a manufacturer's success, Bosch Australia has released a full 6-axis industrial robot which is mounted on a set of wheels so it can be easily moved around the factory floor for use in different applications. Certified as an assistance system by the German Employers' Liability Insurance Association, the Automated Production Assistant (APAS), with its innovative 'sensor skin', allows direct and safe collaboration with people without the need for additional guarding.
