Kraft Foods, the leading US food manufacturer, has been building towards this vision with aggressive productivity improvements, greater asset efficiency, and better information from its production management systems. Kraft has adopted the discipline of measuring Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) as the foundation for building a collaborative manufacturing company. OEE is an approach to monitoring and managing the lifecycle of manufacturing assets.
