Health Canada Reaffirms the Importance of Compliance When Using Pesticides

Health Canada is responsible for the regulation of pesticides in Canada under the Pest Control Products Act(PCPA). The PCPA and its Regulations require pesticides to be registered and used according to label directions. Every pesticide proposed for use is evaluated to determine if it meets Health Canada's standards for the prevention of unacceptable risk to health and the environment and whether the product is effective for its intended use. Only pesticides that meet Health Canada's standards are registered.
