摘要

The aim of the present study was to analyse the immunoreactivity of the endothelial cells lining the intact arteries, capillaries and veins from budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus) using humanized endothelial markers: claudin-5 and CD31. The examinations revealed that humanized anti-CD31 endothelial marker does not show cross reactivity with the intact endothelial cells of arteries, veins or capillaries in a budgerigar contrary to similar studies on mammalian tissues. On the other hand, using humanized anti-claudin-5 antibody resulted in easily evaluable, reliable cross reaction and appeared as membranous positivity in the endothelial cells lining the arteries, veins and capillaries of different organs of a budgerigar.
