Forum on climate change debates the pros and cons of global warming and its effect on agriculture It might be hard to convince Canadians suffering from this winter's cold temperatures that a global warming of four degrees is a bad thing but the consensus of experts and scientists from around the globe is that global warming is happening and the losers out number the winners. According to Dr Gordon McBean, Assistant Deputy Minister, Atmospheric Environment Services, Environment Canada, the most optimistic research confirms the global temperature will be up one degree by the year 2100.
