Ocala Orchards Farm Winery has already received nine awards for its wines Since 1915, Ocala Orchards have continuously grown and expanded. Now, third generation owner Irwin Smith and wife Alissa have taken the fruits of that labour in a new direction.To the 20 acres of apples, pears, cherries and plums, the couple has added seven acres of grapes, raspberries, northern kiwi, black currants, gooseberries and elderberries and opened Ocala Orchards Farm Winery. Located south of Port Perry, Ontario, andoff of Hwy. 12, the operation employs six full-time and four part-time people. Those numbers increase by an additional 12 to 15 during September and October.
