The inventors of the active ingredient in an entirely new class of low-risk pesticides have been awarded a prestigious international science award. Dr. Adam Chi-Tung Hsu and Dr. Harold E. Aller, scientists with Rohm and Haas Company, have received theInventors Of The Year award for 1995 by the Intellectual Property Owners (IPO) association. The two discovered tebufenozide, the active ingredient in CONFIRM insecticide to be used in fruit and vegetable production, and in MIMIC, an insecticide which will protect forests.
